White River Health System Website Wins 2007 Diamond Award…

White River Health System has recently been honored with the 2007 Diamond Award for Internet Services (www.whiteriverhealthsystem.com) by the Arkansas Hospital Association. The Arkansas Hospital Association’s awards program recognizes excellence in Arkansas hospital marketing and public relations.

“Congratulations on a superb job of marketing… what special services White River Health System has to offer the citizens of Arkansas”. – Arkansas Hospital Association

Over the previous year Pleth, LLC and White River Health System have participated in a redevelopment project for the health system website. The project has encompassed a complete site redesign with content expansion, a physician directory, job board, calendar of events, newborn gallery, email-a-patient feature, and an online accompaniment to a quarterly print newsletter.

“From its inception, one of the missions of Pleth has been to impact the delivery of health care information. As former health care provider, this award is validation for all the hours of effort our team has invested into this project and for the direction of Pleth, LLC as a whole”. – Greg Smart, Pleth Partner

Microsoft Empower for ISV’s Partner Program.

I have been working with Scott Barr, our Microsoft Partner Rep to get our company enrolled in this program for Independent Software Vendors that is being offered by Microsoft.  Not only do they supply developers with a wealth of free software for testing and development but you also get access to a lot of Microsoft Resources like MSDN and also full copies of their Development Tools, etc.  It’s a pretty good deal, and something thta i noticed in talking w/ Scott and just being upfront with him about our operation, they didn’t frown upon the idea that we were also involved in developing applications for our clients that are built on other platforms like PHP / MySQL, ColdFusion, etc.  I have been reading a lot lately about how Microsoft is taking big steps toward embracing the Open Source community.

Log Monitor

This is a pretty cool app for monitoring log files.  I am kind of surprised that someone hasn’t thought of this sooner, and maybe they have but this one looks pretty cool.
