Cotton Rohrscheib's Corporate PhotoCotton Rohrscheib is a veteran web & application developer with over 10 years experience and has worked on over 500 projects in his career.  These projects range from small business e-commerce solutions to Fortune 500 applications. Today Cotton primarily develops applications using PHP/MySQL.  Cotton is also very active in the Wordpress CMS development community and has contributed to various plugins and projects within the community.  Cotton is also very involved in the Facebook Developer Community and has worked closely on a number of projects built upon the Facebook Connect API, including the integration of Facebook Connect into Wordpress CMS.

Rohrscheib founded Powersite in 2000 to provide web and application development solutions.  In 2003 he purchased Webworks Web Solutions, a managed hosting provider with an established hosting operation. This allowed Rohrscheib to enter into the web hosting industry.  In 2004, along with business partners Greg and Stephen Smart, he co-founded Pleth Networks, LLC, a managed hosting & web development firm.  Pleth is headquartered in Batesville, Arkansas with satellite offices in Jonesboro and Conway, Arkansas.  Since it’s formation, Pleth’s infrastructure has grown exponentially, and they now have datacenters located in Dallas and Houston, Texas.  Pleth has also expanded to offer additional products and services including; Graphic Design & Print, Premium Email Solutions, and VPS (Virtual Private Servers) Solutions to smaller design and development firms & ad agencies across the United States.

Over the years, Rohrscheib and his partners have acquired Real Estate together, and launched several other projects  together in addition to Pleth.  One of these projects is EzCYA, an online file storage and disaster recovery solution that is geared toward small business and enterprise users as a means of offsite file storage. Most recently Cotton and his partners relaunched an online property they acquired in 2004, NascarView.com.  NascarView is an online community portal geared toward the growing Nascar demographic that includes a news portal, live racing chat, message board, and blogs.  Rohrscheib and his partners also have a news aggregator project that is still in beta and should be released later this year.  This new project will closely resemble digg.com but will have a strict emphasis toward only Nascar related content.

In 2009, Rohrscheib also plans to re-brand Powersite to offer ministry website solutions to churches and non-profit organizations under the umbrella of Pleth Networks, LLC.  This vision came from a website project that Rohrscheib developed for his own church, The Church Alive, in Conway, Arkansas that was recently awarded the coveted “Best of Show” for the interactive category at the 2009 Northeast Arkansas Advertising Federation Banquet.  Rohrscheib and his partners also picked up 4 silver addy awards and 1 bronze at this past years banquet.

Cotton has had the privilege to serve on numerous boards of directors during his career, including acting as a regional President for a state funded tourism organization.  In 2008, Rohrscheib was named to the board of advisors for Mailtrust, a Division of Rackspace (NASDAQ: RAX).  He provides the corporate leadership at Mailtrust with insight on a wide variety of topics including their current and future products and service offerings.

In 2009, along with a small group from the Central Arkansas area, Rohrscheib helped spearhead the  formation of the Central Arkansas Refresh Community, a user group consisting of web and application developers, broadcasters, and agency personnel that meets monthly to discuss the rapidly evolving technology that drives their industry.

Cotton and his wife Donna reside in Conway, Arkansas and are members The Church Alive.   Both are very active in ministry, while Cotton occasional assists as a youth leader and full-time webmaster, Donna is a member of the praise team and assists with coordinating various events throughout the year.

In addition to the products and services offered by Pleth, LLC, Rohrscheib is also available as a web2.0 consultant or guest speaker for businesses looking to increase their exposure online and in various forms of social networking.  For additional information, or to contract Cotton for consulting services, click here…
