I have had numerous people ask me how they could subscribe to The Cotton Club Podcast so I thought I would post this page as a step-by-step tutorial. There are three ways you can subscribe to The Cotton Club for FREE, these methods are:
- Subscribe via iTunes
- Subscribe via Zune
- Subscribe via RSS [Podcast Only / Podcast + Blog Posts]
Subscribe via iTunes
Last week I had a couple of people give me a heads up that my iTunes listing for The Cotton Club was only showing episode three and the others were not available. In between working on clients projects I managed to finally pinpoint the issue and get it resolved. Everything is now working correctly and you can subscribe using iTunes by clicking on the iTunes link or clicking here.
Once you click the link, you will see the screen to the right, this is a web version of iTunes Preview. Just under my photo click on the blue “View in iTunes” link. If you have iTunes installed on your computer it should open at this time and transport you to the following page. You will want to click on the “Subscribe Free” button located just underneath my photo. When you subscribe to the show you will always be sure to have the most recent version on your iPhone, iPod, or iPod Touch as well as your desktop PC. Instructions for Zune Users…
If you do not use iTunes, and instead use Microsoft’s Zune product you are in luck, The Cotton Club is also listed inside their Marketplace. Simply click on the Zune Link located in the right sidebar of this website, or click here to get started.
Once you have clicked on the link, the page located to the right should have opened up in a new window. You will find located on this page (just to the right of my photo) a purple button that says “Subscribe”, you will want to click this button. The next screen will ask you if you have Zune software on your computer, you will want to click on “Yes” or “No” to install the software on your machine. Odds are if you have a Microsoft Zune you probably already have the software installed. If you clicked “Yes” your Zune software should open and take you directly to the screen you see below:
You will want to click on the small grey button located right beside my photo that says “Subscribe”. From that point you will then be able to download, listen, and synchronize each episode of the shows.
Subscribe by RSS
If you do not want to use a device such as an iPhone, iPod, or Zune to listen to The Cotton Club, you can also subscribe to the show via RSS Feed. There are two versions of my RSS Feeds, one version contains all of my blog entries as well as podcasts and the other version only contains Podcasts. You can select either of these you want and add them to your favorite feed reader or desktop application.
